Adoptables

Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals works with four categories of animals on any given day. They are:

Lost: An owner contacts the organization letting us know that their pet has gone missing. We provide a posting on our website to help re-unit the owner and pet.

  • If you have lost an animal please send a picture, brief description of the missing pet, and contact information to info@svfanimals.org

  • Call 701-840-5047.  We'll post it on our Facebook page.  Be sure to also include your contact info so you can be reached if your pet is found!

  • It's also recommended to contact KOVC (701-845-1490), as they sometimes get calls, and to contact Barnes County Dispatch at 701-845-8181 so they can let Police know to keep an eye out when they're driving around.

  • And, don't forget to contact everyone to let them know when your furry friend is back home!

Found: A concerned member of the community contacts the organization to let us know that they have found an animal. We advertise the animals on the website, radio, & newspaper. If animals have not been claimed in a reasonable amount of time Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals will attempt to adopt it to a loving home.

  • If you have found an animal please send a picture, brief description of the found pet, and contact information to info@svfanimals.org

  • Call 701-840-5047.  We'll post it on our Facebook page.  Be sure to also include your contact info so you can be reached if the owner to the pet is found!

  • It's also recommended to contact KOVC (701-845-1490), as they sometimes get calls, and to contact Barnes County Dispatch at 701-845-8181 so they can contact the owner if they call.

  • And, don't forget to contact everyone to let them know when your furry friends family has come to get them!

Adoptable: The animals listed in this category are available to be adopted. They come from all walks of life. One thing is certian of all animals listed under this category, they have been: Wellness checked, Updated on shots, Microchipped, and Spayed/Neutered (if old enough).

While awaiting adoption these animals are placed in foster homes where they can be trained and socialized. Interested parties fill out a pre-adoption form where they can be considered to be a potential home. Or email info@svfanimals.org to get a form.

Facilitated: The animals listed in this category need to be placed in a new home for a variety of reasons. The owners of these animals are willing to hold on to the pet until they can be placed into a new home which they choose. The owners provide a picture, contact information, and a brief description of the animal to SVFA and we list them on our website.

  • SVFA is happy to help advertise any animals in need of homes!  Check out some of our courtesy listings on our Facebook page, our Petfinder.com page, and our Adopt-A-Pet page!

  • If you'd like us to advertise an animal free of charge for you, just contact us at info@svfanimals.org or call 701-840-5047.  We'll post a picture, information on the animal, and your contact information.
